Why Do Bad Things Do Happen To Good People

Why Do Bad Things Do Happen To Good People

We are going to be dealing straight away on this teaching in this book on the subject of why bad things happen to good people. I want to start by saying one of the foremost foundations on why bad things happen to good people is ignorance. You can’t fight a battle you don’t know to exist. You can’t defeat an enemy when you don’t focus on where he is attacking you from. Most people will say, I don’t believe God will hold me responsible for something I don’t know anything about. It is not true. God will hold you accountable for everything written in His words. It is a 21st-century law that nobody can hold you responsible for something you don’t know. Even in the law, it says no ignorance in the law. The scripture says:

“If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible. Leviticus 5:17 (NIV)

Even though the person does not know, he will bear the iniquity before God. That is one of the foundational reason that makes bad things to happen to good people.

  1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

  2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

  3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3

Bad things happened to the earth. In verse one of the above scripture, the heaven and the earth was beautiful to look upon, wonderful and intact, but the earth was without form and void. Something bad happened to the earth. For God to repair it, He had to bring in light. In verse three, God said, let there be light, and there was light. In other words, without light, God cannot intervene. God said the earth is without form and void, just like many people’s destiny can under such attack of demonic power and satanic harassment that will waste you to nothing. But when God said let there be light, it was the light that sparked a new beginning. In verse one, God created the heaven and the earth, by verse three, God said, let there be light. By that light that was coming on the earth that is without form and void; a new beginning started. This took God seven days to put it right.
